ENGLISH SUMMARY

The present. Roger and Elisabeth living in the suburbs of Halmstad, close to the ocean and the woods and far from a real winter. Roger is a teacher and Elisabeth a nurse. We have two daughters, one who still lives at home, who shares our big interest in dogs. Elisabeth is a working dog instructor and Roger a teacher for instructors, judge and a describer for mental tests of dogs.

Our shared history started in 1976. Elisabeth took a class, which Roger led. And that's that! Five years earlier Roger had bought his first dog SUCH, korad, Furuslätts Porgy, a Riesen Schnauzer. Elisabeth's first dog was an English Cocker spaniel named Jolly Dogs Trouble Man. This was the dogs we had when we first met. The first dog we bought together was SUCH, SBCH, korad, Nimo, born 1976, "Loffe" also a Riesen Schnauzer. He got a friend in 1979 SBCH, korad, Index. Index was an Australian Kelpie and the best working dog we have ever owned! In 1986 we got our first German Shepherd, SBCH, korad Proffs Ten. He was also a good working dog and a nice dog in the family. His career went up and down because of his bad health. Next dog was also a German Shepherd and also our first bitch, SUCH Uwells Alice. Alice was a nice dog, but she lacked that little extra to become a good working dog. We kept one of her five pups in 1993. He who would leave a big hole in above all Elisabeth's heart when he died in 2002. Uwells Oxå was a big dog both in body and mind.

In 1997 our whole existence changed, when Sigge came into the family! S DK UCH, S FIN J(g)CH, SV-00 Sweeping Pampiga Påskparad belonged in the beginning to the youngest daughter. We had never seen that much of a dog in such a small size! Just as you have read above, we don't just own dogs, we also use them a lot! A resting interest for hunting awoke when we saw what Sigge could do. Nowadays almost every weekend is spent hunting, training in artificial dens and showing our dogs at dogshows. The step from one Border to four was easy. If the dogs get some time in the woods then they're lazier than us! Four Borders takes up less space than one working dog and we have bought a smaller car.

The purpose of our breeding is: Dogs who hunt, healthy, social and who preferably looks according to the standard. We will keep our breeding in a small scale and with the hunting skills as the most important thing. A good hunting Border may be the best dog you can have at home!
